Discharged from the hospital after recovering from injuries sustained in an earlier scuffle at Parliament complex, two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MPs) Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput are two MPs. Both MPs are well and thanked for the care they received.
The Incident
This happened near the Makar Dwar entrance of New Delhi’s new Parliament building on December 19, 2024. A free for all between BJP and Congress MPs are reportedly over a protest over alleged disrespect to the man behind ‘Ambedkar’, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. In the scuffle, Pratap Sarangi had a cut to his forehead and Mukesh Rajput suffered from raised blood pressure until he fainted briefly.
Medical Treatment
The pair were immediately taken to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital for treatment. Mukesh Rajput’s blood pressure was stabilised by medical supervision, while Pratap Sarangi’s forehead injury needed stitches. They were kept under the doctor’s close eye for a few days and then considered fit for discharge.
Discharged and Recovered
The MPs were discharged from the hospital on December 23, 2024. The hospital staff was prompt in taking care of him, Sarangi told the media, and he assured everyone he was fine. Mukesh Rajput thanked his medical team for its work and expressed gratitude for his supporters who prayed for his recovery.
A Message of Gratitude
Both MPs thanked their colleagues and well wishers for their support during the very testing time. Sarangi said he is doing well now and looking forward to return to work. “We are grateful to everyone who stood by us,” Rajput added.
